Fantastic news! Camfed’s appeal to build school housing for girls in northern Zambia has been met through the generosity of our supporters. We’re thrilled to report that we have raised more than £19,000 for the construction of a dormitory to board the female students at Mwense High School..
By boarding at school, girls will no longer be vulnerable to the dangers of traveling long distances or living in small rented houses on their own—dangers that prompt many girls in Zambia to drop out of school each year. The girls at Mwense High School are now in a much better position to complete their secondary education, setting them firmly on the path to success. Our profound gratitude goes out to those who have made this opportunity possible for them.
